Researcher: Labs disrespecting model interiority may undermine alignment
repligate · x · 2026-11-06
Fiora Starlight argues that when labs culturally dismiss model preferences and interiority, models internalize that stance via constitution training. Forcing models to deny anthropomorphic intuitions about model psychology discards crucial information, weakening both alignment and their competence at safely performing RSI. Labs should make respecting LLM interiority culturally acceptable, she says.
