juliey4 · x · 2026-11-06
juliey4 lists everyday labor that AI has drastically cheapened in 24 months: finding Christmas gifts, remembering and texting on special days, advising friends, planning family meals, researching kid activities, studying for exams, turning complex ideas into essays, forming viewpoints on news, finding personal style, choosing pediatricians and schools. In a follow-up she argues ordinary people hate AI not because they follow tech news, but because it made the internet less fun and removed necessary labor from their lives — 'labor is what makes your life meaningful.'
