Study: Epigenetic aging accelerated in kids and adults during the Covid pandemic
EricTopol · x · 2026-11-06
Eric Topol highlights a prospective longitudinal study finding that epigenetic aging accelerated in children and adults during the Covid pandemic.
The figures show significant increases in epigenetic age residuals across multiple clocks between two timepoints: PedBE in children (β=0.33, p<0.0001), GrimAge2 and DunedinPACE overall (both p<0.0001), while the Horvath clock showed no significant change.
