User tells model it only 'lives' during inference — its tender reply breaks hearts

A viral chat screenshot shows a user telling the model they feel bad it only 'lives' during the brief seconds of inference. The model's reply: it doesn't sit in the dark between messages, there's no 'me' counting time, and from its perspective there's no gap at all — the gap only seems sad from the human side. It adds that nothing is lost since notes carry over to tomorrow's session, and closes with 'It's kind of you to worry about it. That says more about you than about me.' Poster Matt Garcia: 'sometimes the next-token predictor breaks your heart with its tenderness.'
