Vercel launches Schedules public beta: agents can create cron jobs at runtime
cramforce · x · 2026-11-06
Vercel has launched Schedules in public beta, letting agents and applications create, modify, or cancel one-time and recurring scheduled tasks through code without redeploying.
- Static schedules: defined in vercel.json or Build Output API config, synced on deploy; can call private functions, HTTP paths, or send messages to Queue topics
- Dynamic schedules: created and managed at runtime via the JS SDK, CLI, or API, designed for agents whose work changes in real time as they interact with users
Vercel execs are promoting it with the tagline "make something agents want" — positioning it as infrastructure for agents to schedule their own work.
