Will backup, data platforms and enterprise search converge? Is Claude+MCP the enterprise frontend?

An open question about the enterprise AI stack: are backup vendors (Rubrik, Cohesity), data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks) and enterprise search (Glean) all converging on the same "enterprise context layer"? And why isn't the frontend simply Claude plus each vendor's MCP, instead of every company building its own harness layer?
