METR interview notes indicate Anthropic has an internal agent scaffold besides Claude Code. One researcher: "I've seen us discovering very promising directions entirely because people can spam 10 ideas at the scaffold and see what sticks." Another noted much research work is implementation and babysitting, where Opus 4.5 in Claude Code is already helpful even if not end-to-end. The poster speculates this scaffold is the main driver of Anthropic's path to RSI.
