SMFNet and ChAI-Net: sequence models for single-molecule data probe transcription factor assembly
anshulkundaje · x · 2026-11-06
Anshul Kundaje's group highlights two new works applying sequence models to single-molecule data:
- SMFNet (EMBL Heidelberg's Krebs lab × Stanford's Kundaje lab, bioRxiv preprint): reveals principles of combinatorial transcription factor assembly on DNA, with authors including Till Schwämmle and Nathaniel Diamant.
- ChAI-Net: a companion effort from Katie Pollard's and Vijay Ramani's groups.
Both are AI-for-Science efforts applying deep sequence modeling to single-molecule experimental data, relevant to anyone studying genome regulation.
