Codex's real edge over Claude Code is computer use: turning every UI into an API
Yuchenj_UW · x · 2026-11-06
Yuchen Jin argues Codex's biggest advantage over Claude Code right now is computer use. His reasoning: APIs/MCPs are painfully slow — reading a Slack channel can take forever — and legacy enterprise software is often so confusing that humans struggle with it (he couldn't figure out an expense reimbursement app, but Codex completed the task in minutes). Computer use effectively turns every UI into an API, bypassing integration bottlenecks.
