Sentry's next MCP evolution: one CLI login powers both MCP and full CLI access
zeeg · x · 2026-11-06
Sentry CEO David Cramer previews the next evolution of MCP: sentry mcp runs the same local MCP server as @sentry/mcp-server using your Sentry CLI login—no tokens in MCP config, with automatic login refresh and per-org targeting. Agents get full CLI and MCP access through one solution, and the MCP can steer the agent to the CLI when it's more efficient. Install via claude mcp add sentry -- sentry mcp; works with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Amp, Gemini CLI and more. Expect this pattern across most devtools.
