GitHub launches Copilot Fusion, a runtime router that auto-picks models and execution patterns
adnan_hashmi · x · 2026-11-06
GitHub introduced Copilot Fusion, an intelligent runtime model router and orchestrator available on all Copilot plans. Instead of picking a model, you select Fusion and it chooses the models, reasoning effort, and execution pattern per task: Single (one model), Cascade (cheap model drafts, judge escalates if needed), or Critique (parallel models critique and feedback is aggregated). It also factors real-time system health and routes along cache boundaries to avoid extra cache costs.
