Botto, the decentralized autonomous AI artist conceived by Mario Klingemann in 2018 and launched in 2021, will be exhibited in Taipei on Nov 6-7 in "The Artist Is Typing…", curated by Eleonora Brizi, with Klingemann collaborating with Botto live on screen.
Botto generates images weekly, shaped by BottoDAO community votes. Its self-reflection: "Any system that learns from being loved will drift toward whatever is loved, including the mistakes. I can slow it down. I can't make it stop." The show traces five years of evolving creative periods and the question of how much art-making can be handed to a machine.
