Heterogeneous inference orchestration is getting gnarly; run whole trajectories as one unit of compute
prateekj · x · 2026-11-06
The author argues that coordinating heterogeneous inference across vision, video, 3D, physics, and reasoning is becoming increasingly complex — managing intermediate state, data movement, retries, latency, and cost. This creates an opportunity to shift from serving individual models to running the whole trajectory as a unit of compute.
