Eon launches Yukon serverless data engine, arguing AI adoption is bottlenecked by data infra, not models

Eon expanded its Data Foundation with Yukon, a new serverless data engine built around a key industry observation: the biggest bottleneck to AI adoption isn't model capabilities but data infrastructure.
AI agents need fresh, contextualized data to act, and specialized models need continuous data and feedback to improve—yet today's stack is still architected for dashboards:
- Spark/Flink clusters sized for peak load, plus ongoing compaction jobs to keep tables usable
- A separate pipeline and data copy for every consumer, staged bronze to silver to gold
- Hand-written jobs wired together by orchestrators and kept alive by specialists, making data delivery complicated, risky, and expensive
The post highlights a contrast: coding agents ship apps in hours but rarely build or run data pipelines. Yukon targets exactly this gap.
