OpenAI embedding Codex execution harness directly into Agents SDK, now in alpha

- Developer daniavila7 spotted that OpenAI is embedding the Codex execution harness directly into the Agents SDK, letting builders use Codex as the runtime instead of building and maintaining their own harness. It's still in alpha, and it's unclear how far OpenAI will take it.
- The poster also teased Polyphonic, a Mac app opening its wait-list soon: it unifies Claude Code, Codex, Kimi Code, Grok and any ACP-standard agents in one place, with shared project context, session history, inter-agent handoffs and local-private memory.
- If confirmed, this marks OpenAI filling a key agent-infrastructure gap — moving from "model + SDK" to "model + ready-made execution environment" and sharply lowering the engineering bar for building autonomous agents.
