Anthropic's $80.7B H1 loss is paper only — it actually cash-flowed $3.9B from operations
NighthawkT42 · reddit · 2026-11-05
Anthropic's S-1 shows a headline $80.7B net loss for H1 2026, but the cash-flow statement tells the opposite story: $81.1B of the loss is mark-to-market revaluation of convertible notes caused by the company's rising valuation (no cash moved). Adding back note revaluations (+$72.4B, +$8.7B), stock-based comp (+$2.2B) and other non-cash items, Anthropic generated +$3.9B of operating cash flow — it is cash-flow positive.
