AI寒武纪 · wechat · 2026-11-05
OpenAI upgraded its image stack with ChatGPT Images 2.6 plus two developer-facing API models: GPT-Image-2.6 Flare and Sunburst.
- Flare generates images in as little as six seconds; Sunburst targets higher quality and better edit consistency
- GIF generation from prompts or uploaded images, with playback-speed control, per-frame editing, and loopable sharing
- Reusable reference images: save yourself, pets, or characters and reuse them in new creations without re-uploading
- Image markup and SVG export added
- Images 2.6 is live across ChatGPT web/desktop/mobile on all tiers including Codex; both API models are available now
