recalc: open-source spreadsheet where every cell can be a Claude-powered agent
0xcontext · reddit · 2026-11-05
Developer 0xcontext open-sourced recalc, a spreadsheet app driven by Claude Code where each cell can act as its own agent or shell command, and can later be opened as a full terminal session. It's essentially glued-together terminal sessions talking via a background MCP server, so it works with your existing Claude plans.
- Built originally to ease reviewing CSV/MD benchmark results while building eval sets.
- Ships examples for tax and legal work, informed by the author's AI-in-tax startup experience.
- Demo: an "FDA Bench" using post-cutoff FDA approval cases — an AI harness without web search predicted approval outcomes correctly 75% of the time in a small sample (Fable model).
