Plane adds source tags and audit logs to distinguish AI agent changes from human edits
JosephJacks_ · x · 2026-11-05
Project management tool Plane now tags every change with its source — "via Plane MCP", "via Plane AI", "via Slack", or "via GitHub" — since a growing share of work is done by agents. Previously, everything an agent did looked identical to a manual edit by the connecting user.
The same tags appear in audit logs, letting teams measure how much work arrives through MCP and spot agent changes nobody approved. Direct edits in Plane carry no tag.
