Indie dev's cRPG engine does torch shadowcasting for 20 walkers at stable 144fps

Indie developer @Cyndesama shows off dynamic occlusion work in their cRPG engine: after an overnight optimization pass, 20 walkers shadowcasting their torches run at a stable 144fps, and 100+ walkers still land in the 60fps range. They're satisfied with the algorithm for dynamic occlusion when moving between buildings and floors, noting remaining imperfections could be masked with proper level design — acceptable since this is a cRPG, not an RTS. Useful reference for devs working on 2D lighting/FOV algorithms.
