Perplexity has integrated Fast Search into its Decisions API: adding "mode": "webgrounding" runs one search query per question so pplx-decider-v1.2 answers from the live web instead of training data alone. Search costs $0.001 per request; the Decisions API costs $0.02 per 1M input tokens. On 100 public questions, web-grounded Perplexity scored 86.0%, beating Parallel Decisions API (78.3%), ungrounded Perplexity (51.0%), and OpenAI's Decisions API (42.0%).
