Philosophy angle: 'AI-generated' may now be a property of perceptual experience itself
dioscuri · x · 2026-11-05
A philosophical follow-up to dioscuri's earlier observation that his brain tags footage as real or AI at a perceptual level, and that the feeling can be deliberately flipped.
He argues this fits Susanna Siegel's rich content view: "AI-generated" appears to have become a high-level property that presents itself directly in perceptual experience — much as a bowl of fruit can look real or look wax. A neat case study at the intersection of perception philosophy and generative video.
