Watching lots of AI video makes 'real vs AI' a perceptual property you can flip
dioscuri · x · 2026-11-05
dioscuri shares a subtle observation: after watching lots of AI video, his brain tags footage as real or AI at a perceptual rather than cognitive level — and with effort he can flip it, making real footage feel AI-generated or vice versa.
In a follow-up he frames it philosophically via Susanna Siegel's rich content view: "AI-generated" seems to have become a high-level property that shows up directly in perceptual experience, much as fruit can look real or look wax.
