Dynamic VRAM makes MiniMax H3 VAE loads take minutes, reports Reddit user
poursoul · reddit · 2026-11-04
A user with a 24GB 3090 and 64GB DDR5 reports that with Dynamic VRAM enabled, every MiniMax H3 VAE load/unload takes minutes, pegging the SSD at 100% with 1MB/s effective reads. Disabling it via --disable-dynamic-vram fixes VAE loading but costs 20s/it in generation speed. The post asks for workarounds.
