RoboColosseum launches open robot eval initiative: 100+ real robots, 140+ scenes, all failures open-sourced
DJiafei · x · 2026-11-04
Hugging Face, BitRobot Network and partners launched RoboColosseum, an open robot evaluation initiative:
- Access to 100+ real robots (Unitree G1, LeRobot SO-101, YAM, Franka and more) across 140+ in-the-wild scenes
- All rollout data is open-sourced, including failures — 20,000+ runs with nothing filtered out
- 10,000 free eval hours offered
Robotics simulation practitioners note that simulators only model what someone thought to model, while the real world is full of chaos — making the openly-shared failure data especially valuable, arguably the best thing to happen to robot sim lately.
