Elections to slow new data center buildouts, boosting incumbent hyperscalers' install base
RihardJarc · x · 2026-11-04
The argument: election outcomes mean fewer or slower new data center rollouts, making the existing large DC install base of $AMZN, $GOOGL, $MSFT and $META more valuable, while their CapEx may spread more gradually over years — bad news for semis.
Non-hyperscaler builders like neoclouds now face extra pressure: on top of capital problems, they'll need to offer more community benefits where data centers are built, making their ROI math even harder.
