Open source Hermes Plugin Host brings desktop plugins like office-3d to DeepSeek Harness
jasonkneen · x · 2026-11-04
Jason Kneen released dsh-hermes-plugin-host (MIT), a plugin host that lets DeepSeek Harness install and run Hermes Desktop plugins.
- Plugin format: a folder with plugin.yaml, one ESM desktop/plugin.js calling register(ctx) on @hermes/plugin-sdk, plus an optional Python FastAPI dashboard router.
- Demo plugin office-3d renders agents/sessions as characters at desks in an isometric 3D office, with Working/Idle/Offline states and per-profile token/cost stats (iterm at 169M tokens, deepseek-harness at 20M in the screenshot).
- DSH gains a Hermes Plugins sidebar listing installed plugins with label, version, and description.
A copyable reference for anyone extending agent harnesses with plugins or visualizations.
