Three core Claude Code members leave Anthropic ahead of reported IPO
iamfakhrealam · x · 2026-11-04
Three core members of the Claude Code team have announced their departures from Anthropic: Thariq (@trq212) after over a year scaling the product, Anthony Morris, creator of Claude Code on desktop (his farewell hit 174k views), and cat (@catwu), who joined two years ago when Claude Code was a small internal project and helped evolve permission handling from manual approvals to Claude auto-approving migrations and building new products.
All three posted warm farewells thanking the team and community; Morris says he'll soon share what's next. The poster frames the exits as notable timing ahead of a potential Anthropic IPO — no negative reasons were given.
