Adrenal tumor detection thresholds: 1,100 mm³ hits 95% specificity, 33/52 cancers found
MaziyarPanahi · x · 2026-11-04
The author shared per-organ cutoff details for a medical imaging cancer-detection evaluation, defined by total tumor volume. For the adrenal gland, 1,100 mm³ yields 95% specificity (4 of 80 healthy cases flagged, 33 of 52 cancers detected), while 510 mm³ is the best-balanced-accuracy point (9 of 80 and 34 of 52). Scoring was done on saved answers, no new GPU run needed.
