Tapebasis: open-source MCP server cross-checks market data across TradingView, Finviz, Yahoo
Ok_Revolution3049 · reddit · 2026-11-04
Tapebasis is an MIT-licensed MCP server that asks TradingView, Finviz and Yahoo the same market-data question, compares answers field by field, and stamps every response with which provider actually answered: ALL / TRADINGVIEW / FINVIZ / YAHOO / NONE.
Key design decisions:
- When feeds disagree you don't get an average — you get both numbers in comparisons, plus which print is newest and why.
- When nobody has the data, you get NONE instead of a plausible fib.
- A background monitor fingerprints each provider, so a renamed upstream field surfaces as a warning rather than a wrong number.
Scale: 33 tools, 3 providers, 182 offline tests, 0 API keys, MIT license.
