BAAI has released CS-Dialogue on Hugging Face, a large-scale Mandarin-English code-switching speech dialogue dataset designed to fix the shortcomings of existing datasets: small size, unnatural conversations, and missing full-length dialogue recordings.
- Scale: 104.02 hours of spontaneous dialogue, 100 two-person conversations, 200 speakers
- Speakers: strong English proficiency (IELTS ≥ 6 or TEM-4), from 30 provincial-level regions across mainland China
- Content: each conversation covers 2–6 topics with Mandarin-only, code-switching, and English-only segments; 16kHz WAV audio with character-level manual transcriptions plus utterance- and speaker-level annotations
- License: CC BY-NC-SA 4.0, non-commercial use only
Accompanied by paper arXiv:2502.18913, targeting code-switching ASR and related research.
