Theo responds to T3 Code telemetry flap: fully disableable via env var
theo · x · 2026-11-04
Responding to @uwukko's complaint, T3 Code author Theo explains the PR auto-close was due to 800+ PRs opened daily. He stresses the anonymous telemetry is fully auditable, can be completely disabled via an env var so even the initial boot isn't reported, and is disclosed during onboarding. He argues the tiny data volume funds free distribution, and notes "every harness people use in T3 Code collects 100x more data than we do — and most aren't open source."
