Claude Code lead: AI shifts team bottlenecks upstream to PMs and downstream to verification
Flomerboy · x · 2026-11-04
Claire Vo (Claude Code lead) argues that once teams master AI-powered engineering and prototyping, bottlenecks move upstream (PM capacity, lack of good ideas, rigid org structures) and downstream (PR review capacity, verification, slow GTM).
Her fixes: redesign the org for the new physics, pursue ambitious ideas over features, let engineers own more requirements so PMs can talk to customers, automate PR review and risk scoring, use cloud/preview environments and tooled agents for verification, and tighten PM–GTM partnership.
All solvable, she says, but it takes a leader willing to force the changes.
