Anthropic's @_catwu leaves Claude Code team after two years, recalls early days
felixrieseberg · x · 2026-11-04
@catwu announced her last day at Anthropic. Two years ago, when Claude Code was a small internal tool, she asked it to build an RL environment — steering it for tens of hours without manually writing a single line of code. It worked, she was hooked, and joined the team.
She notes how usage has shifted: at launch, most people approved every permission prompt by hand and mostly used Claude to answer questions and write tests; today the workflows look very different. Fellow developers, including felixrieseberg, sent tributes.
