Give your robot a Discord account and summon it like a coworker
jaivin · x · 2026-11-04
jaivin shared a simple trick: give your robot its own Discord account. In the screenshot, the robot gets @-mentioned, replies "here" instantly, and when told "go away back to work" it answers "going" and returns to its task — like summoning a human coworker.
It's a neat demo of using off-the-shelf chat tools as a human-robot interface: no custom app needed, Discord's @-mention mechanism effectively becomes the summoning protocol.
