Stanford team forecasts GSM8K accuracy within 3 pts using 5600x less compute
stanfordnlp · x · 2026-11-04
A research team led by Luke Bailey and rckpudi (shared by Stanford NLP) converts a benchmark into a series of easier, hinted versions and jointly models compute scale C and hint level H. This lets them forecast full GSM8K accuracy (H=0) within 3 points using 5600x less compute — a step toward end-to-end scaling laws spanning pretraining to posttraining evaluation.
