AMD has significantly raised its outlook: server revenue is expected to double year-over-year in 2027, with data center AI revenue growing even faster than projected 90 days ago.
- Last quarter's guidance called for 70%+ annual server revenue growth and data center revenue more than doubling this year; customers have since expanded EPYC and Instinct deployment plans, and AMD secured more supply
- New guidance: data center will represent more than 80% of total revenue in 2027, driving the majority of revenue and earnings growth
- Ben Bajarin notes a $100B revenue year in 2027 is a stretch but conceivable
