Claude Code founding engineer Cat Wu leaves Anthropic after two years

Cat Wu announced her last day at Anthropic. She joined after having Claude Code (then an internal tool) build an RL environment — steering it for tens of hours without writing a line of code manually. She recalls early users approving every permission by hand versus today's high automation.
