Anime image forensics tool foidfinder detects character mashups and booru tags
AlpinDale · x · 2026-11-04
AI researcher AlpinDale showcased foidfinder.net, a tool that identifies anime characters, their series, and outputs full booru-style tags from an image. A demo screenshot shows a mashup image detected as Minakami Mai (97%) mixed with Kasuga Ayumu (62%), with series attribution to Azumanga Daioh and Nichijou — useful for tracing image provenance. He also teased an unreleased research project that isn't ready yet.
