The 'shopping cart' pattern: handling multi-intent queries with JEV recursively
hackgoofer · x · 2026-11-04
A practical pattern for handling multiple intents in a single user query using JEV's primitives: recursively ask JEV to pick the next item while telling it what's already been included, until it says you're done — like filling a shopping cart.
The author used it to build a coffee-ordering Slack bot (wired to DoorDash's CLI) and a fast multi-intent handler for a smart home system.
