YC F26 startup Hundred launches AI visual inspection catching sub-100µm defects at IQC
ycombinator · x · 2026-11-04
Hundred (YC F26) unveils a benchtop AI visual inspection station for precision hardware parts: it scans every part in its shipping tray, flagging sub-100µm scratches and pits before they reach the assembly line.
Problem: IQC today relies on manual sampling; one bad part can stop an entire line and trigger hours of root-causing in consumer electronics, medtech, and aerospace.
How it works: every part is photographed and graded against cosmetic specs, with quarantine decisions per part and a permanent photo record for later failure analysis. Demo: 12 parts scanned in one pass, 10 pass, 2 quarantined (0.11mm scratch, 0.07mm pit). Team hails from Meta, Google, Magic Leap, Citadel, Twitch.
