SERP poisoning hits Bing too: rank trackers show Best Buy for 'best junior sipp'
SEO · x · 2026-11-04
Kevin Indig reports that poisoned search results aren't limited to Google — Bing is affected too. Screenshots show the query "best junior sipp" (a UK junior pension product) returning Best Buy's homepage as the top organic result on Bing, followed by dictionary definitions of "best" — results totally unrelated to the query intent.
Implication for SEO teams: rank tracker data on both Google and Bing may be massively distorted, so tool readings can diverge from what real users actually see.
