CrowdStrike CEO Announces AI Kill Switch to Halt Any Agent at Runtime
yenkel · x · 2026-11-04
CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz unveiled the "AI Kill Switch" at Fal.Con, arguing the power to stop any AI agent must stay with humans. Three principles: every agent is a privileged identity secured like the most privileged insider; runtime is the control point since governance docs can't stop an agent in motion; and humans always hold final say and accountability. Security practitioner yenkel agreed, noting point three depends on whether agents act on their own behalf, and welcomed the industry's focus on runtime agent security.
