Non-coder open-sources swatch, a year-long AI-built ComfyUI front-end for LoRA batching and culling
dnlstk · reddit · 2026-11-04
A non-developer shared swatch, a Mac desktop app he directed AI coding tools to build over a year as a front-end around ComfyUI, now open source (github.com/dnlstk/swatch). His workflow: batches of 100-200 images, tweaking LoRAs until they break in interesting ways, then hard culling.
- LoRAs: card view read straight from model folders, collections, trigger words as required/optional clickable chips, saved best strength/CFG/steps/sampler per LoRA, plus CivitAI search/install/uninstall in-app
- Prompts: chip-based prompt building, embeddings toggles, chained LoRAs auto-attached when sending to ComfyUI, live progress in app and menu bar, auto-starts ComfyUI
- Gallery: built for culling — four review states, bulk select, side-by-side compare, one-click remix from any image's full prompt/settings, tags/search, NSFW filter
Prompts often start as song lyrics; he stacks as many LoRAs as he can get away with and keeps the glitches that work. Honestly flagged as built for one Mac and one setup — not packaged to install, shared so people can read code and borrow ideas.
