How AI assistant Sauna runs 2 million databases on Turso, 90k created daily
glcst · x · 2026-11-03
Sauna, a proactive AI work assistant launched April 2026, gives every session, agent, and connected inbox/calendar its own database — over 2 million total, 90,000 created daily. They moved off Cloudflare and Litestream to Turso, whose sync tech makes each database a plain SQLite file. Built on the principle that proactivity, persistent memory and learning are foundational, Sauna watches Slack, Gmail, calendar and Granola to compound team context and surface actions before users ask. A case study in per-session-database infrastructure for the agent era.
