OpenAI's Pando: a Git backend that scales to huge monorepos, may be offered externally
danshipper · x · 2026-11-03
OpenAI's Greg Brockman unveiled Pando, a Git backend built to scale to very large monorepos. The team took the harder road of staying on Git, so Pando can be enabled with zero change to developer experience.
Brockman says they are considering offering it to others and invites interested parties to reach out — a rare external glimpse into OpenAI's internal engineering infrastructure.
