Real cherry tree turned into real-time 3D, watch it bloom in your browser via Super Splat
janusch_patas · x · 2026-11-03
Developer sgrptl captured a cherry tree with a Sony A7SIII in 4K, processed it through RealityCapture and Lichtfeld Studio, cleaned up in Unity, and used PlayCanvas's Super Splat to turn footage from the same tree one week apart into a real-time 3D scene showing the bloom transformation. A web version is live so anyone can interact with it — a full real-footage-to-Gaussian-splat-to-web-render workflow.
