pixelfx: 244 free pixel-art effects plus a Claude Code skill to make your own
JafarNajafov · x · 2026-11-03
GitHub project pixelfx (3.8k stars, 520 forks, MIT license) offers 244 pixel-art effects for free — fire, explosions, magic, weather, UI, pickups, critters — each a small piece of code. Play them live in browser games, recolor and mirror them, or export sprite sheets for any engine.
It also ships a Claude Code skill that generates new effects the way a picky pixel artist would: draft, render, look, refine. Made free for everyone by Patch, including commercial games.
