Reviso: agentic video captioning that prioritizes key visual evidence (PKU, KlingAI)
Tengfei Liu · hf · 2026-11-03
Researchers from PKU, KlingAI Research, HKUST and others propose Reviso, an agentic video captioning framework. Key insight: MLLMs often overemphasize minor details while missing key context and events—not all visual evidence deserves equal attention. Reviso uses hierarchical planning and active perception: starting from a low-frame-rate global preview, it builds a hierarchical Context-Focus-Points (CFP) observation plan that identifies video context, prioritizes key aspects, and defines concrete observation targets, improving caption quality and downstream video understanding.
