Unverified: SEC filing claims Anthropic committed up to $120.5B through 2029, ~$3.1B/month for xAI infrastructure
arthurcolle · x · 2026-11-03
Poster arthurcolle claims a SEC filing shows Anthropic has committed to paying up to $120.5 billion through 2029 — up from an $84.5 billion figure allegedly leaked during the draft S-1 phase — and that once all contracted server capacity is operational, its monthly bill will jump to roughly $3.1 billion per month.
The figures are unverified and conflict with other accounts of the Anthropic/xAI relationship (e.g. claims that Anthropic leases Colossus 1 in Memphis and that Grok uses Claude for agentic work). Treat with skepticism until the primary filing is confirmed.
